Hester How Daycare Centre

Hester How Daycare Centre, located in Toronto City Hall, is a non-profit workplace daycare dedicated to providing a warm, loving environment that nurtures, educates, and provides guidance to the young children in our care.

While you are at work, our staff offer the continuous warmth and stimulation your child needs, and we are available before and after your working day, or at lunchtime to talk to you.

One tremendous advantage of workplace daycare is that you are close to your child. This means that you can easily visit your child during the day. We welcome your visits at any time. In fact, parents often drop in to take their child out for lunch, or just to have a quick peek.

Make Hester How a part of your extended family

We believe that quality childcare requires parental involvement. That's why getting to know you is just as important to us as developing a relationship with your child.

You may consider standing for office on the Centre's Board of Directors. Our parent-driven Board and its committees are a source of our strength. Board members are active in the development of policy, programs, fundraising and promotional campaigns and of course, in overseeing our financial statements.

All parents are invited to attend Board meetings, which are usually held once a month.

We encourage you to take full advantage of all that the Centre has to offer and we hope that you'll make us part of your extended family.

Hester How Daycare Centre is licensed through the Ministry of Community and Social Services and has a purchase of services agreement with the City of Toronto's Children's Services which makes our care available to families receiving subsidies.
